FAQS

Frequently asked questions!

How fit do I have to be to travel on an air tour?

Our air tours are rated Easy, Moderate and Active. We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred tour/safari in respect of your fellow travellers. Brisbane Flight Charter reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.

On all of our tours/safaris, you must be able to walk unaided and will not need any foreseen assistance throughout the journey. If you require a wheelchair or walking frame assistance, then our tours/safaris are not suitable. On each of our itinerary pages, there is a rating for each journey which represent the average tour requirements. On occasions there maybe activities included in a tour that exceed this average. Please read the itinerary carefully or call to discuss any concerns you may have.

EASY – These tours/safaris are not physically demanding unless you want them to be. They include easy-paced walks which are mainly flat ground. You must be able to walk up to 1km unaided and will not need any foreseen assistance throughout the journey. There are 4 steps into the aircraft that cannot be avoided.

MODERATE – These tours/safaris are more challenging and designed for the more active traveller who is looking to venture off the beaten path. To fully participate in all activities, the traveller must be able to walk up to 2km on even or inclined surfaces unaided, travel by four-wheel-drive vehicles along ungraded roads and walk up steps unassisted.

ACTIVE – These tours/safaris are specifically for the active traveller. To fully appreciate the regions visited on these programmes, participants will be required to walk up to 4kms on uneven surfaces unaided, walk up steps and inclines, and travel unassisted.

What should I pack?

Although the accommodation is the very best available, formal attire is not necessary. There are laundry facilities throughout the journey. Smart casual attire is appropriate. We recommend you include the following when packing:

  • Easy care lightweight and comfortable clothes such as shorts, light slacks, skirts, cotton shorts/blouses and T-shirts

  • Comfortable closed in walking shoes (essential!)

  • Pants / trousers

  • Sun hat

  • Sweater / Jumper / Spray Jacket / Parka

  • Swimwear

Please note that temperatures can vary dramatically. It is advisable to bring items of clothing that you can layer when you need to.
